Mrs. Luz Velez
I began working in the Early Childhood Education field 27 years ago, I was a preschool teacher for 10 years and have been in a supervisory role for the last 17 years. I obtained an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and Education in 2002 and am currently working on completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Working with children, and being part of their development is my passion. Being able to make a difference in the life of a child, helping parents feel at ease when they leave their child in our care, and motivating teaching staff to give their all to the children at our center is my goal each day. Many people can teach, but only few can impact a child’s life in a postive way.

The growth we have seen since he first started is astonishing. Every day after school our son is excited to tell us what he learned, how he played and the songs they sang. That is exactly how we all feel and I know our son is going to be very sad when he has to leave this year.
